And so I have returned once again to the place where I have spent 5 years of my life and will willingly give away anther two years to it. Kilkeel High School.
This year I am in Year 12, or Lower 6th as it is called and I am beginning the first year of a 2 year course in which I will leave with A-Level grades which will hopefully be good enough to get me into college.
The subjects that I'm doing this year are English Literature, History, R.E and Psychology.
So far I've been at school two days and we haven't done a whole lot of proper timetabled class but we have spent time with our 'buddies'. The 'buddy' system is a very loser-ish sounding thing that the High School has decided to adopt for the last few years. In it two lower 6th prefects (in my case me and Conor) befriend 3 or 4 little year eights who are new to the school, we show them the ropes and help them get settled. So far its been fun.
So this is pretty much how my first two days of KHS have been spent.
I am really looking forward to getting stuck into this year at school, because Year 12 is supposed to be the best years of school. Also I'm really interested in all of the subjects I have chosen and I know that this year is going to be fun but also very challenging work-wise.
I really hope that God will really show up in this year of my life at KHS and that he will use me to impact the lives of my classmates who I often interact with ,yet who don't know Christ the way that I do.
