For as long as I can remember I fail miserably at my NYR's. I either make them too hard, too easy, I forget them, I abandon them or I find a loophole and worm my way out of it. I used to make up silly ones when I was younger like I would eat 3 bananas every day. Seemed good in theory only, well bananas ran out, there are only so many you can eat without going crazy and they just get sickening. One time I actually made up a sensible resolution and followed it for a while. It was to keep a diary. I think it lasted for around 2 months, which for all the age of me (10) with my lack of things to write wasn't too bad. I'm not sure how I got out of that one but I sure would love to find that diary.
So now I come to this year. 2009. The year I will turn 16, will sit my GCSE's, will get involved in a mission at church. And well quite frankly I could be doing any number of things this year. And I've been trying to think of a suitable resolution, one I hopefully will keep. But there are many things I want to change this year and so I think I may end up having several resolutions. OK so it all seems doomed from the start.
The areas I think I'm going to work on are; Religion, Education/Future, Creative, Personal and I can't even remember what all else. I haven't worked out the specifics but when I do I'll make sure to get the details on here. More so that I can't 'forget'.
(Watch this space for a Cafe one80 post. I'm hoping to do one before the mission if I could get the pictures on the computer!!)
Happy New Year to anyone who reads this =)
Jules.
