Brackenagh West...is the BEST.

Some call it work experience, others call it a week off school, but I call it re-living the glory days(Oh and of course the fact I would like to become a teacher.) It is only Day 2 as i write this and my viewpoint could change drastically in the next 3 days, but i really am loving my work experience. There are a number of reasons why...
1. I chose Brackenagh.
The fact that I chose my old Primary School is one reason why I'm having a great time. Brackenagh West Primary School is a small school situated up in the mountains far from the town and is one of those schools with a really warm and welcoming feel to it. I adored it when I was younger. Coming back to spend a week in a place that i grew up in and spent my childhood in is really refreshing. It was back in Brackenagh where I first came into my own person and decided that in the future I may like to become a teacher.
2. I would like to become a teacher.
Naturally with my teaching ambitions I would chose a school for work experience week and that's another reason why I'm loving it! Helping in a school is brilliant. I get to mark work, help kids, make labels, listen to children read, help with spellings, I find myself in my element. I've even got used to the title 'Miss Gordon'.
3. I'm sharing this experience with old school friends.
Tina and Christine (also two former Brackenagh students) are there with me at the school. We may each be in different classes but every break-time and lunch time we meet up for a chat just to see how everything is going. It's great that they're here because at high school we all have different friends and classes so we don't get too see each other all that much but being back at Brackenagh is like being back in 'the good old days' when we were in the same class all the time.
I'm glad God has provided me with this oppurtunity and hopefully a glimpse of what he has planned for my life. I guess I'll just have to wait and see where his plans take me.
-Jules.
