The value of life?

My essay is titled : A man murders his brother and gets around 30 years in prison. A female murders her baby, gets a pat on the back and sent home. How can this be justified?

Abortion is an issue I am very passionate about, I am pro-life and am totally against abortion. During the writing of my discursive essay I have discovered pictures and facts about abortion that have in some cases left me dumb-founded. Some of the pictures even made me cry. I have always been aware of the numbers of abortions performed every year, but the number of under 16 girls having abortions in the UK really shocked me. Many girls are out having sex underage and their actions are resulting in abortions, who knows how this has all affected them and what about the innocent babies? The website abort73.com was really great with information and the videos were really hard-hitting. I wonder how many people would choose a different option if they saw some of the pictures that I have of 7 week old babies who had been aborted lying in bins? I just can't believe how some people feel they should have a hand in destroying a part of God's creation. Don't they know every child is a gift from God? A person he uniquely created? It really saddens me to think of the huge numbers of babies that every year are being quietly destroyed when someone makes a "choice". I know that in some cases an abortion needs to be performed if the birth or carrying the child would result in the mother dying, but even so, the countless babies killed on demand overshadows this.

This is the first draft of my conclusion:

In conclusion abortion is an inhumane act and despite how people will try to justify it when it comes down to the bottom line abortion is the murdering of a child. There are no ways to ever justify it! Right now I want you to wonder how many loving babies have been aborted worldwide in the time took to read this essay. And at the end of each day if we all really stop to think how many lives had been ended by choice it would make us all sick. Of course if a child gets murders or knifed to death it will be headlining news, but do we ever really hear about the number of children killed by abortion, killed by selfish women? Think about these statistics, in 2002 in America 1082 children died from a violent assault, 2347 children died from a car accident, 32,867 children died from disease, 1310000 died by legal abortion. 1.3 million children. Each one silently demolished behind a closed door in a bid to quiet down the evil act of murder. Imagine if your very own mother was faced with the choice of abortion back when you were first conceived, how would you feel if she choose to end your life, well it doesn’t matter how you feel, you have no say in the action. You’re dead. Not so nice abortion, is it? Finally I want to finish with one last question. A slogan for a pro-life t-shirt, “Would you care more if they used guns?”

I was going to put pictures in this blog, but I decided against it, they really are horrifying.
